I am however, reviewing a risk assessment and will advise individual patients if I need to change their appointments. Therefore, if you have an appointment booked and you are happy to attend, please come along as planned. if you prefer to change your appointment to a later date, please get in touch and I will happily rebook you to another time. Stay safe, be kind and thank you for your support and understanding.
What Is Chiropractic Treatment?
Chiropractic is a straight forward method of adjusting the bones of your body to improve the alignment of your skeleton, and through this process help the nervous system to work more efficiently. The purpose of chiropractic care is to realign and rebalance your body to relieve pain and discomfort, and increase mobility.
A misalignment of the joints can occur for many reasons; some of the most common are incorrect lifting, car or sporting accidents, falls, stress, and poor posture. This can lead to pain, numbness, “pins and needles”, or restricted mobility.
I am proud to practice the well renowned and highly effective McTimoney Method. The McTimoney method of chiropractic was developed by the late John McTimoney over 50 years ago and is taught only at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon, near Oxford. Around 150,000 new patients consult a McTimoney Chiropractor each year and over 8000 people are cared for by McTimoney Chiropractors each working day. UK members of the McTimoney Chiropractic Association are registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
The McTimoney Method is well known for being a precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care. The gentle nature of the McTimoney method makes it especially suitable for people of all ages.
How TJA Chiropractic Clinic Can Help
Neck & Shoulders
I have attended sessions with Teresa for a couple of years now for back and neck problems which were brought on through using a computer when I was carrying research work in the 1970’s. Teresa’s ability to manipulate my neck and back have saved me from suffering pain and made me stand and sit correctly. She has worked wonders!
Having suddenly developed back problems – I was in excruciating pain and scarcely able to walk. I was very relieved to find a therapy that really helped compared with the ‘guesses’ forthcoming from other non-specialist medical sources.
On every visit to Teresa, I obtained great relief from pain and found movement easier.
This has made an enormous difference to the progress I have been able to make.
The condition I have was irreversibly life-changing but with regular visits to Teresa at TJA Chiropractor Clinic, I am able to maintain ‘what’s left’ and maximise movements. The week before I go for my McTimoney session I start to seize up; hip, shoulder, neck and headaches, all of which are relieved by a session with Teresa.
Teresa at TJA Chiropractic Clinic was recommended to me by a friend and I was so pleased with the treatment I received. Teresa was so professional and listened to everything I told her. I contracted COVID in April last year and was very poorly with it. I was still experiencing a tightness in my chest and some discomfort. Teresa was able to help me and I feel so much better, my breathing feels better and I feel like I can take deeper breaths and the tightness has completely gone. Teresa also helped my sore back and hip.
I was thoroughly impressed with how Teresa adheres to the new COVID guidelines. Everything was wiped down and cleaned before I entered. My temperature was taken on arrival and you enter through one door and exit through another. I would definitely visit her for treatment again, she is so understanding and makes you feel at ease.
